Does anyone know how to repair a hairline crack in a coffee mug? I plan to continue drinking out of this mug so the fix would need to be non-toxic.

Thanks for your help.

Cover mug with milk in small saucepan & heat to boil. Simmer a few minutes the let cool then wash & dry. Cosmetically not so good but functional.

I saw a remedy for this years ago in an old Farmer's Almanac. You're supposed to put the mug in boiling hot milk and it will somehow cause the crack to dissapear. Not sure if it causes some type of chemical reaction or what.

You shouldn't use cracked mugs, germs will get into the part of the mug that now doesn't have the shiny coating. Same with chipped mugs.

try to super glue the outside of the mug then buff the excess glue off. ive known people to super glue their false teeth back into their setting so it couldnt be too toxic. beside super glue was to be used on wounds in time of war. that was its intended purpose in the first place

can't do it at least not to drink out of it. There is nothing non toxic that would hold the liquid in.
