He is bluntly honest. When you have to deal with the kind of egos he does all day long Im sure youd get tired of having to deal with it and be blunt and to the point too.

Some of the people on the American Idol audition probably do, but just because Simon can tell people that they sing like crap doesn't mean he can develop real singing talent, only bring it out into the spotlight.

I think people who encourage and develop talent in others deserve more "props" than Simon Cowell, but I guess his job is necessary.

Honest. I mean come on he is a record producer and he is used to putting people through with talent. He probably feels like his time is being wasted by some of the nutjobs who show up for auditions.

I think if more people need to be a honest as Simon.

He's very honest, in a mean way. We sometimes need people like him in the world, but sometimes is just down right cruel.

He is brutally honest. Sometimes I think he's a real jerk, but you know, the music industry is a tough one. Might as well weed out the people that can't take it now.

He's brutally honest, since he has been in the industry for years, and knows firsthand what many executives and producers are looking for in artists.

Both. Sometimes he is honest, sometimes he is mean and sometimes he is pushing an agenda trying to sway the way people vote.
