I heard of someone using vinegar to make the curls stay even if washed. What process do you use?

Any other tips on how to curl ribbon or make perfect korkers?
Thanks!!

This site talks about how to use vinegar when making korker or corker hair bows, and how to make all kinds of bows:

I have never done it myself so I can't say it will work. They say to soak the ribbon in vinegar then wind it around a wooden dowel of the width you want and then to bake it in the oven.

However, I think this type of bow will wilt or straighten when/if it gets wet. Vinegar helps to set it or set the color, and the baking dries it in the shape you set it, but again, if it gets wet it will not hold.
