Tesco do a wirless package for 45.00 that includes your router and a wireless networking usb card, best value for money around, cant really give you specifics without knowing whether your broadband is ASDL i.e. through a phone line or cable i.e. from Sky or Telewest etc, if you sign up to AOL for internet by the way they will give you a netgear wireless router for free and thats a good bit of kit

Linksys is touted as being the best, but they have problems that the company is not willing to admit to, acoording to the "Tech Guy" on AM 640.
My Brother-in-Law just so happened to buy one anyway and, sure enough, he had all sorts of problems with it disconnecting and freezing up! I suggested he get the No. 2 brand, (I can't remember the name now?), and he did... hasn't had a bit of problems since!

i got a decent router for £40 from pc world ,having cable or phone line makes a difference when buying which i was unaware of before buying.
My router has a laptop and desktop linked no probs and sometimes my two kids link the psps into it mine is a D link

buy the belkin (talk/talk) router you can pick it up at any carephone warehouse store, for £49.99 there are cheap ones on the market i.e Curry's but be aware for the build in security, what you want is WPA2 that's the very latest and best sercurity for wireless it is installed in the Belgian router and it also comes with firewall build in
