he was so bz wif work that he forgot about it.

ladies and gentlemen, would you buy this excuse? i was making a fuss on my b'day and he didn't understand why i wanted to see him on that day. i thought he was joking with me, pretending to forget, but it turns out that he actually forgot abt it. he apologized profusely, i cried coz i thought he had plans. it was dissapointing because i planned his b'day 2 mths ago.

it affected me and no i don't believe i over-reacted!!! hehehe

my qn is:
does this happen to you before and how was your reaction?

I think you might have overreacted a little. He shouldn't have forgotten, but sometimes people forget things. You should just forgive him, but make him feel guilty so he plans a fancy way to make it up to you.

I am so sorry this happened to you!!! I feel your pain and no I dont think you over reacted, my hubby is the same way. All he does is work and I am home all day taking care of kids and the house and I am lonely and bored and all he can think to tell me on the phone (because he is in Denver now on a business trip for 5 days and will be home tonight around midnight but is not coming home until tomorrow night after regular work bec he is going to stay in a hotel tonight up by his work which is an hour and a half away from home to begin with, then he is leaving again to go on another business trip on Sund for 3 days.) but all he can tell me when he is on the phone with me last night is how he has to go bec his boss is on the phone with him bit*hing about her day to him. I was like why cant I bit*h about my day but no he doesn't have time for me or our kids. His Bday was in Dec. and mine is in Feb and mine will be the big 30! And I have hinted it would be cool to have a surprise party but I think he is going to blow me off like he does every day. So yes I totally understand why you are upset and you have every right to. Go out and buy yourself something really expensive and take yourself out for a nice dinner you deserve it!!!

Don't let this happen to you!!

Start lobbying a week in advance by dropping subtle hints that your birthday is coming up. If it is really going to upset you if your bf forgets, don't take a chance. Make sure he remembers. Be proactive.

It never happened the my BF forgot, but when other people who should have remembered forget, I just feel sad. Depending on the person, I might remind them so they can feel bad about it in front of me.

I would have to take him to the eye doctor, cause its kinda hard to miss the banners, and the big poster board i place on the door.
So far he hasnt missed one yet. For my next 21st birthday i plan on fireworks

I can't imagine one significan other forgetting the other ones birthday. I don't think you overreacted. That is very hurtful. Your birthday only comes once a year!!!
