I think that so-called "emo" kids are the sad, end-result of over-protective parenting.

These kids grow up without a clue as to what the adult world is like.

They don't realise that you have to fight to succeed in life.

They don't realise that at any point in time, life can kick you right in the nuts, and then stamp on your head whilst you're still on the floor.

They don't realise that you don't always get out of life what you put in, and that you just have to get on with it anyway.

I think most of them will end up being alcoholic... "poor me... poor me... pour me another drink...".

What do you lot think is to blame for these people being the way they are?

I was Goth, which, from what I know about Emo, was the predesor, and for me if anything is "to blame" it was not over-parenting, it was under-parenting. But I don't think that Goth kids from my day or Emo kids now are all that bad. It's just a phase, an identification no different from things like hippies in the 60s.

I think what u may not realize is that most of theses people 1. are regular human beings that u shouldn't critisize and 2. They have very good reasons for their kind of behavior. If you've been raped, abused, either vebally or phisically, You would probably know how it feels! Look into the topic a little more, maybe you'll get the clear picture in front of your confused face.

Emo kids want to be emo. You're making a big deal out of nothing.

I have that same feeling about americans in general. They have no idea what is going on in the world and only have Fox and CNN to tell them. And those outfits have been shown to be better propogandists than the Nazis were.
