I'm part Irish but become full blooded Irish on St. Patty's Day. I even add an O or an Mc or whatever I fancy on that day to make myself more Irish. Then on Cinco de Mayo, my Hispanic blood starts heating up. I am not personally Hispanic but my grandson is. You should think of these holidays as an honor. You can't control how people celebrate them.

Because everyone knows Irish people like to get drunk! I'm Irish too and don't mind being associated with being a drunk! It's a whole lot better than some of the things we COULD be associated with! We're just alcoholics with bad tempers!

Unfortunately that's true. In Northern California there is a restaurant called Carlos Murphy's which is a mixture of Irish and Mexican Food. That's how some of us would rather celebrate. without the boose. I was in Ireland 2 years ago and would go back in a heartbeat, I loved it.

I am Irish-American and a tee-totaler. My husband and I celebrate St. Patrick's day and have a great, fun time without booze! We love to sing old Irish songs.

Well, my hubby is part irish and yes they sure do like to drink. But the holidays are about having a good time. Chill out people just want a legit reason to get drunk, don't take it personal.♥
