Keep him/her after class where there is nobody to interrupt. The suggestion of it alone might work to tighten them up.

Put him in a closet all by himself. Actually, I don't know if you are talking about in class or at home. If you are talking about at home, talking to the parents about alternatives is the only way to go. If you are talking about the classroom, actually move his desk away from the other kids', in a corner and move him progressively closer when his behavior improves, and move him back again if necessary.

I'd find out who were interrupting them and i'd bring them to my office and find out what's going on.

Then I'd teach the student how to "focus" and drown out everything around him, and I'd explain to him why getting high grades are so important for his future.

send them to a seperate room to work or seat him in an area where he doens't know anyone so he has no one to talk to.
