I'm 31 and have been going for a physical once a year since I was 28. With the poor diets that many people eat now-a-days, the general lack of exercise, and the sexual promiscuity in the population, a check up once a year is important - especially those practicing these bad habits. Blood pressure and a blood test (to check cholesterol, STDs, hormones, RBCs and WBCs, etc.) are important aspects of a general check up.
P.S. If you go to a Blood Donation Center and give blood, you often get a FREE health screening (that includes blood pressure, pulse, and temperature) and a comprehensive blood test - no cost, except a pint of your blood!

I would say once a year. Why not get yourself checked out to make sure nothing is wrong. I believe it looks better on your insurance too, because that's considered "preventative care" which is why they usually cover 100% of the cost.
