We live about 5 miles from a major mall here in San Antonio.....

I can walk to the nearest mall in 3 minutes.

The river walk is in down town San Antonio. I am a little bit surprised that the only place that my fellow San Antonians seem to know about is the River Walk Mall, Frankly this is just a lot of eye candy and if you don't mind paying more it is a great place to go but on the other hand if you are coming to do the annual thing like buying clothing for children to go back to school in, that is something different. I raised three children and if I had to buy clothing for them still it wouldn't be at the River Walk Mall. I would go to Ingram Square and next door Ingram Park. These are on the North west side on I-410 There is a Stafford Inn right across the Hwy form them. From there to down town it is about 15 minutes. I will point out that there are several other large malls up and down I-410. So the choice is up to you, you can do the tourist thing and head to the River Walk mall or you can do what most of us really do and that is go where we are going to do the most with our money. What ever you decide have a good time here and come on back.

It is about 1 1/2-2 hours to the nearest decent mall .

In my city I live near a mall its like 1 mile away but there are barley any stores in it anymore!So to get to a real mall I'd say 10 miles.

I live in kona hawaii, and the nearest mall is on the other side of the island. So that makes it about 1 and half hours away or about 110 miles.

I live about 20/25 minutes from a real mall called abasto.

We live in SW Flordia, smack in the middle of Ft. Myers and Sarasota. Our local mall is a bust- Charlotte County has the largest percentage of people over 50 in the entire state of Florida, so even a regular store like Dillard's mainly carries a selection of Granny clothes. So for me to get to a mall with decent choices, I have to drive 40-45 minutes north to Sarasota.

i'm about 3/4 mile from the biggest mall in the area and two blocks from a strip mall

1.5 miles----so? I rarely go there since more exciting stores lie just across the state line in the mall there, 15 miles away. They are not as scary as some of the targets I've been to in SA....
