Gays feel everything about members of their own sex that straights feel about members of the opposite sex, item for item, facet for facet. Straight people cannot fathom being attracted to members of their own sex, so why is it so hard to comprehend that gays feel the same way about the opposite sex? Are we all making this issue way too complicated?

Maybe "preference" isn't always the best word to use, anymore than "lifestyle" describes gay existence. Are we not doing as good a job communicating as we think we are? Or is someone just not listening?

Its a little bit of both actually. We may not be communicating as clearly as we should, and others DEFINTIELY aren't listening with open ears and minds. It really shouldnt be that hard. 'Preference" & 'Lifestyle' are merely words. Some people get the point, & some do not. To me, both words are completely acceptable and legit because i am open-minded and I comprehend the fact that not all humans 'prefer' the same things. Society has tried to group everyone up in this tiny little cramped box and claim we're all the same. But in reality we soooo are not. I value the uniqueness and differences within people. If this could some way be adopted as the majority mindset....we'd be so much better off.

So many people are closeminded, that they don't WANT to understand... if they can't explain it, then it's wrong... if it's different it's wrong... It's easily uncomplicated by not making it an issue, no oen asks straights why they're straight, so it's not an issue... it just is... if people would see that about homosexuals, then it wouldn't be complicated either

pedofiles feel exactly the same for children that straight people feel for the opposite sex. But I bet you have trouble understanding that, dont' you. It's the biology, not the pshychology that bothers people.

Additionally, homosexuals are that way because of a difficiency of same sex acceptance in childhood. For that reason, homosexual relationships are an attempt to make up for that. it makes for very selfish relatioships. This is NOT like heterosexual relationships, healthy ones.

What is straight? A line can be straight, or a street, but the human heart, oh, no, it's curved like a road through mountains. ~Tennessee Williams, A Streetcar Named Desire, 1947

Here's the deal. Straight people aint buying the cookies you're selling. We don't want to hear it, we aren't even going to give it a platform. We look at it as a sickness and a perversion, it's that simple. We're not even interested in conversating with you about the credibility you're trying to give it.
Your only hope is the dumb teenage kids that are growing up lost in America.
