It's perfectly OK to do. The heater and fan controls only work when the key is in the run or Acc. position so the battery will not be affected.

while you're outdoors without exaust leak below the vehicle you will no longer get poisoned. unsure approximately gasoline tho. it would possibly no longer harm your engine tho I even have had many 8+ hour journeys of non end driveinga nd idle isn't even 0.5 the wear and tear you do together as driveing. Oh and park some the place criminal or you ought to get a value ticket!

My friend just moved to from Florida to Virginia and he did exactly THAT. the next day his car would not start. Someone had to jump-start it for him.

It's been driving fine since then though.

I can't explain WHY.. but it's something that happened in relation to your question.

Just like with the radio, when you turn off the key, everything is off no matter what the switch says.

yes...as long as they are still in manufactured state [have not been hooked to a direct ''hot'' wire].
the key in the ''on'' position allows electricity to flow to all electrical items.
key in the ''off'' position stops the flow of electricity.
try this....turn all items on with car running...are they all on?
ok...now shut car off all the way...are they still working?
if all is quiet...your good to go!if not..shut off what is on..probably a short then.
