Please specify : seaside or forts or sanctuaries or forests or hillstations?

If you would like to be nearer sea : you can visit Arnala (accessible from Virar on Western Railway, has got food and accomodation options- Cbeach Resorts[www.cbeachresort.com] provides quality.) or Kelve ( accessible from Kelve Road and/or Palghar station on Western Railway.

On other side you can visit Alibaug accessible by boat ride from Gateway of India. Several options in and around Alibaug include Akshi beach, Sasawane beach, Kihim beach and you can even go till Murud-Janjira beach.

For forts or if you are interested in treks et al visit Raigad (near Mahad), Korlai fort near Revdanda(Alibaug) but food and accomodation is the big problem.

You can goto Igatpuri or Lonavala or Matheran, if you need to be at a hill station.

Happy weekend.
