I don't see it happening.

I'm a supporter of the idea of a draft - I think two years of mandatory military service would do our nation's young a great deal of good by instilling morals and discipline into them - but I think that if the US ever gets involved in a conflict large enough to require more troops than we currently have, the conflict will have been started by a catastrophic attack on the US ala Pearl Harbor that will have the volunteers running down to the recruiting offices in droves.

And no, I don't see that type of attack coming. I honestly don't think that any nation would be foolish enough to carry out something like this. We have the best technology in the world, and we demonstrated just how easy it is for our ships to stand 50 miles offshore and pound the living crap out of a country without putting a single person on the ground.

I seriously doubt if any nation would want to be subjected to what we can - and would - dish out.

We have more than enough volunteers to handle the terrorists. When you look at the number of military deaths in this war, it's relitively low.

You blood sucking Liberal Democrats just CAN'T WAIT, can you?

Shame on you! It's like you just cannot get enough of bashing a political enemy, even if the price is paid in American blood. Every time one of you posts trash like this, it ENCOURAGES our enemies to wait us out, and THAT means more soldiers will die because of your reckless speech.

I think it's a great idea. I think everyone....EVERYONE...should serve, then maybe they can have the right to gripe. Lets see how they like living on what the soldiers make!
