I don't have any personal experience with that heater, but it's in just the right size range for a 1/2 gallon bowl.
A betta can do fine in a 1/2 gallon bowl for most of it's adult life provided you change the water every few days. That situation is very common among betts breeders that breed for points in IBC shows.

betta fish are very hardy and do not need heater or pumps of any kind. A simple glass fish bowl that you have will do just fine. They normally live in very, small puddles in rice fields. They actually like smaller spaces. A big tank is not a good idea. You should have things in the bowl where they can hide. (example castle, plants, tunnel like rocks, etc)
Change the water every month. Make sure you leave the fresh water out over night before replacing the water in your fish bowl.

those are for 2 gallons. you can get a 2 1/2 gallon tank at petsmart for 10 bucks. its basic but it works and makes a great betta home. the larger your bettas home is the less the temperature will fluctuate. get a 2 1/2 gallon and stick it under a lamp during the day and in the highest spot of your house at night (warm air rises -- its usually warm in houses on top of high furniture) and he will probably be happier than in a 1/2 gallon that you can't heat anyway.

Sounds like it would work just fine. There are not too many options that I am aware of for your fish bowl situation. Without seeing that heater. I would have suggested a similar remedy. The one you have found is better than what I would have suggested. Good luck to you.

It should work more or less, however, I don't believe these have the ability to be justed. Either they're or they're off; and in such a small volume of water, if it breaks or overheats, your could kill your fish.
I mean give it try. If it doesn't have a temperature adjusted, it put in on a dimmer, and start at a low setting.
Other options would be to keep the room warmer, get a small heating pad like for reptiles and put the bowl on that, or to the a heat lamp overtop of the water/

Yes this will work fine, however i have my beta in the vase with the plant in the top. He is in the basement of my house and it gets pretty chilly down there, he seems to have no problems at all. I have had this fish for five years and at first he was at my work where they turned the heat off every night and weekend even in the winter. No problems, however if you would feel better than that heater would be perfect, or a sunny window.

I love Betta fish...Male and female. The females seem to be more friendly though. Anywho, about your situation, I have kept Betta fish in a 1/2 gallon bowl with little or no problems. As far as a tank heater goes, I wouldn't bother because the bowls get dirty quite often and when cleaning out the bowl, you can adjust the water temp. What we have done is purchased a 2.5 gallon tropical fish tank for our female and she just loves it. Don't have to clean it as much either. Our male seems very jealous so we'll get him one as well. Hope this helps and enjoy your little one.

Betta really dont need heaters, unless you store the fish bowl in very cold place. room temp should be fine. unless you working on breeding. in any case that heater would work for 1/2 gallon fishbowl.
