Taking action on global climate change would damage the profits of big oil companies.

If your political party is funded by big oil, your political career is as a result of funding from big oil, and your family made money from oil then there's your motive *cough*Bush*cough*

Actually there still is no scientific evidence to manipulate. There are a lot of studies (none conclusive) and a hugh amount of speculation and even agreement among scientist but no proof or evidence. To have evidence you must first have a baseline to measure from and we are only now trying to establish that baseline. To take core samples from deep in the earth only proves what took place at that particular spot at some point in the earths history. Personally I do believe we are experiencing some global warming but the planet has gone thru temperature changes up and down since it was born and no one knows for sure that the current trend is not normal.

There is strong evidence to support the theory that during the time of the dinosaurs (about 165 million years ago ) the earth was much warmer than it is today ??

i dint know what documents you have seen
but global warming is true, if those were saying that we are not causing global warming the answer is simple it is to keep polluting and avoid economical loss.
some people argue that it hasn't been proved 100% that we cause global warming but the possibilities are very very high.
for that in international treaty's is say ed that we should use the principle of caution.
something that it is not followed by the US and country's that haven't signed the kioto protocol
in other way it would be senseless to lie about it

our oil businesses would be hurt ,why they hardly make any money at all, whats wrong with you, the oil company's leaders send their children out to cut grass just to put food on the table, for Gods sake man they would starve if they had to actually cut back on oil consummation in this country,by people developing clean energy sources.any drop of the usage of oil would cause food to come right off their table ,they would starve .or you willing do that to their children.they must have that revenue.life's or at stake here.feller.I did hear of them buying a lot of land thats much higher then present sea levels, so they can get rich one day selling ocean front property.aint they smart?

This doesn't suprise me bush covers up all the good things for the american people. He should be accountable for these motives even impeached. I keep saying we need to get rid of this president he spends our hard earned money and he covers up things, sounds like scandal after scandal reminds me of Nixon's presidency, it's only gonna get worse the congress and senate might clash with the executive branch. I Just hope bush won't keep using his vedo pen.
