an overall legalization of marijuana would be disasterous for this country. now, a government controlled program distributing the weed (ie like ciggerettes) into markets designed just for the controlled outlet of pot could work. The trillions of dollars made could be used to pay back debts of any nature in this country and boost our economy higher then it has been in 50+ years. But no one is ballsy enough to try and make a move towards that before they get into office due to all of the conservatives who have a vote and use it.

Hell no!! If that was the #1 issue for a Presidential Candidate...This is a really bad question and a waste of time...I think I just lost some brain cells because I was stupid enough to answer it!! Just lost a minute of my life I will never get back!!!

I wouldn't mind if they were for the legalization of marijuana, but if it was the 2nd issue at the top of their list then they are obviously not paying attention to what is really going on in this country. There are so many other things to focus on, marijuana shouldn't be a frist priority for a political figure.

I would, but people interested in money wouldn't. Remember, weed decreases production rates of the workers, this means less money. If you were a business owner you wouldn't want weed to be legal.

Not, if that was the #1 issue. If it was one of his issues, then more probably.

I think there are more important things to be addressed than legalization of weed.

Yes, I believe its no more harmful than alcohol or tobacco so it needs to be legal. Plus this will stop some of the overcrowding in our prisons because of drug dealers and people caught with it in their possession.

Absolutely! Although, i would hope it wouldn't be the #1 priority, but definitely in the top ten! Number 1 should be kicking Rosie O'Donnell out of the country.

Are you serious? That is so low on the list of important issues it's not funny. As a matter of fact, it's probably not even on the list of what's important or needs fixing in this country.

No, but not because I'm against the legalization of marijuana, per se---it would be because I don't think that issue should be #2 on the agenda. Illegal immigration holds that spot in my mind.
