Alright, I'm a social undergrad with a nice GPA and 4 years of managerial training already under me. I am considering becoming a business major. I was wanting to have a social job where I could make some nice money and work hard.

I've considered becoming a teacher (too low of pay), college instructor (no job security)and a plethora of other careers. I've concluded that I'd like to have something social, not cutthroat, and I could make a decent living and still have a life.

Any ideas?

Try financial planning, especially if you currently have few commitments and low living expenses. You get to work with people, filling a critical need. It is difficult to break into the business, especially if you have a family to support. Your first year, you can expect to work longer and harder than you've ever worked in your life, and make about $25,000 - 40,000 if you're successful. Most are not.

By your third to fifth year, you can expect to be working a fairly normal schedule earning six figures.
