I am measuring about 3 1/2 weeks too big. I already had an ultrasound schduled in 4 weeks and my doctor just said we would check it then. Should it be checked sooner? I have to do a gestational diabetes test but not until next week. Has anyone had this problem before, and how did things turn out?

I had preeclampsia with my first pregnancy, but my blood pressures have been perfect this pregnancy. I had a gestational diabetes test done at 15 weeks and it came back neg. I am currently 23 1/2 weeks pregnant according to my LMP and I measured 27 cm.

A little more info...my dr she's nice and all but seems so relaxed...
I have a low placenta and also started having contractions at 20 weeks. They did an ultrasound and found I had started funneling (inside the cervix, sign of preterm labor). She had me on bedrest, and checked me once, but hasn't checked me since.

Oh she also took me off of bedrest last week- even though I continue to have contractions on and off.

I measured large for my last two pregnancies. I did have large babies, 9.9 and 9.2. I did not have gestational diabetes. They are now happy, healthy and not over weight 6 and 3 year old boys.

Well it could be due to gestional diabetes.. I look much further along than 7 months.. but it is b/c my little one is a pound larger than he should be. Sometimes women get extra fluid too.. this is not common.. but can happen. Is your blood pressure up? You could be experiencing edema swelling from preeclampsia. Your doctor should know what is going on and trust him. How far along are you?

I had that problem, and was checked for twins. the doctors pretty much ignored the issue after that, and I was scared of what the problem might be, then they told me his head was too big, but told me nothing after that. I thought the worst, but in delivery they found two amniotic sacs, but only one baby. I still got no answers from my doc, but the baby is fine and healthy.
