My boyfriend is going to be starting a Home Business of Blue Print Design for Houses and he is wondering how if can go about advertising. We were thinking we can advertise online on some of our city websites, and possably in the newspaper.

But we are looking for a way advertise this out to mass customers in our area.

Consider online advertising. This method is a great way to reach a lot more people or to target who you want to reach.

The main forms of online advertising are PPC (Pay Per Click) and Banner.

Here is a link to information about PPC advertising -

There is also a way to advertise free online. There are very popular websites that allow you to advertise on them completely free.

Here is a link to the best websites to advertise online free of charge -

My mom has been doing a home business for 12 years. She does amazing business. She is always really busy (too busy!!!). She says her best advertising is through word of mouth, but she also advertises on the back of the church bulliton (sp?), has business cards that she carries with her and displays in our front hallway (many customers take several to give away!), and she also has magnets and pens with her name, address, and phone number on them. She also has her name in the phone book toward the front (alterations by ms. Mary). that way she'll be one of the first seen. these are just a few ideas.

The advertising vehicle of television commercials has largely been out of reach and beyond affordability for the bulk of small business owners. The tipping point to affordable TV-like advertising changed with the development of the high-speed broadband network and the rise of YouTube.

You can advertise in home building related magazines and in the newspaper. It´s a good idea to build a website with a unique business name. Include your website address in all your advertising publications, business cards, brochures, newspaper ads, magazines ads.

Try real estate advertising books, the ones that are free to consumers. Not sure if you have those in your area but you might want to check that out. Also try networking with mortgage lenders in the area because they frequently prequlify borrowers who haven't chosen a house yet and may not have thought about getting one built.
