most pc games require the cd to run. it might install a small bit of it on your computer, but its not enough to run the game. its just like xbox or any other gaming console. you can't run the game without the cd.

To play a game without inserting the CD, you need a Virtual CD ROM Software which creates another Virtual CD-ROM Drive in your computer, You can use softwares like Ahead;s "Nero Image Drive" or may be "Virtual Drive". Then you insert the CD in to the computer, The Software copies the CD in to the hardisk in .nrg or .iso format. And before you play the game start the program and it will insert your CD in to the Virtual Drive. Then the GAME is actually fooled in to thinking that the CD is really inside a CD-ROM drive. Joker is right. I have done it with Halo PC....and I found the CD-Key on Limewire, but you could find 'em everywhere.

u need download a crack (no CD patch)
just go into google and the name of the game and the word crack and you will get it.
