Nobody is perfect. Nothing is perfect. Everyone and everything has flaws. Everyone regrets something they have done. Everybody has at least one thing that they would change about themselves. Perfect is a fantasy. One that will never become reality. In your story, the doctor said his son was perfect to him. But I'm sure the boy doesn't think so. He probably feels useless and guilty. Therefore he is insecure, which is a flaw. The only way anyone can be perfect is if they learn to accept their flaws and take them as a part of who they are. That doesn't usually happen. Does it really matter if nobody is perfect? As long as they are a good person, who cares?

hmm? around 68F. light breeze, sun is shining. with white whispy clouds floating by occationally to help shade the sun at the right moment.. probably a day after a rain, so the air is clean and everything smells good. and its in the height of spring.. like late March and all the flowers have bloomed or are blooming and you can smell green, just smell green..
