I made no offensive comments... all I asked was why there was such an uproar about a private party that was held off campus.

I also simply asked why Yahoo makes a reference to drinking malt liquor as being racist, because by yahoo's own editorial, they specifically point this out... what does it matter what drink was consumed ? is drinking wine racist to Italians ?

why are people that did not go to the party offended by what may or may not have happened there ?

I reposted this in an attempt to see why it was deleted the first time about this...http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070131/ap_on_re_us/clemson_party

I can understand people not liking what may have happened if it was done in class, in their own house... but at a private party well thats different. You can do whatever you want ( legally speaking...and sometimes not ) in your own house.

Also if you notice the reference yahoo makes to drinking malt liquor... is that seriously one of the complaints ? that they were drinking malt liquor ? and I do not mean this in anyway to be racial... but do white people need to be careful now with what they drink ? is malt liquor not to be consumed by whites now ? is fried chicken, watermelon, and grits next ? because I like them all... and if I was to believe the way the yahoo story was written it would be "mocking" of me to consume all of them

hmmm and now that I think about it... the school can probe into the goings on at that party all they want too. And the worst they could do is maybe get the kids in trouble with underage drinking and maybe some minor drug use. There is nothing they can do other than that... so really why does the NAACP care, get involved, or anything ?

I have a question. Would it be found as offensive if blacks had a party that equalled the stereo typing of any other race. I'll tell you right now NO. I'll tell you why. Reverse prejudice. The belief that a person of color, other than white, cannot be a bigot, a racist or prejudice. I'm going to tell you blacks are the new racists, they don't even like themselves.
I am of mixed blood. Italian, Moor, Spanish and Apache. That is right, I have black blood. alright it is a bit watered down, but so is all of my ethnicity. My skin, eyes and hair are still darker than those europeasns. My American Indian heritage was destroyed by the "europeans". Do you hear us continuing to scream racists. The squeaky wheel gets the most grease, at least the most attention.
We are just a bunch of dumb WOPS and Indians better at digging ditches or dead but I do like what my Native American blood has done. They quietly waited unitl it was time to use the system on their behalf. Now we take money, with our casinos, from all you racists, black, white, yellow who cares you all have the same color of money.
Green that is our new national color.
Damn that I am one generation past being able to get some of that.

Do not worry about asking any questions about it man. You'll only get responses from the Racists on both sides anyway.

my guess is they are taking a stand against this type of nasty behavior for the sake of humanity.

there is also this possiblility but I hope not...

perhaps it embarrasses the school. the enrollment as i understand it is only 6%-7% african american. the hint of impropriety can affect the $$$ the school gets from donors, advertising who would not like to be associated with negative behavior.
