I actually have a friend who is pregnant 3 weeks after giving birth, and my aunt found out she was 6 weeks pregnant only 10 weeks after giving birth. Both of them were still having postpartum lochia. It is more common than you'd think. THat's one reason doctors suggest waiting 6 weeks after delivery to have sex -- Your hormones are going haywire until then, and your breastfeeding hormones wont really settle down and help to prevent pregnancy until 5/6 weeks after establishing a routine.
If you have any reason to believe you may be pregnant, see your ob/gyn asap. There are so many possible complications to such quick postpartum pregnancies if you dont catch it and start proper care soon. Good Luck!

ok first off you shouldnt be having sex until one you stop bleeding and two you have your 6 week post partum check up you do realize that your body is trying to heal from having a baby and that having sex right now is impeding your heal time if your man needs sexual attention that bad he can wait or if that is not an option to him let me say azz but also that are ways of him getting off without sex like you giving him hand jobs or oral sex or him going solo for the time you need to heal and also that having unprotected sex while bleeding means that he can cause/get an infection like 100 times easier than normal after all ever heard of blood borne pathogens so not that im judging you twobut that is gross and you need to heal but as far as getting pregnant i thik until you quit the after birth bleeding chances are slimmer but you should really use protection unless you are ready for baby # 2 in 9 months give or take and all i can say is stop having sex for now you need heal time so that you dont screw something up and lead to no more babies

Well you can get pregnant any time. You are supposed to wait six weeks after having the baby to let everything heal. If you are not ready to have another baby then I would suggest using some form of birth control!!

very high....i am surprised you even felt like having sex at 3 1/2 weeks, that was dangerous for you. wait a couple of weeks and take a pregnancy test or just ask your doctor. you are supposed to wait at least 6 weeks to heal, if your partner can't wait that long then i would wonder why he doesn't care about you and your health. i gotten pregnant with my 3rd child 2 months after and i was still nursing...the old wives tale you can't get pregnant while nursing is not true either....use protection even if its a condom its better than nothing.

If you still have the lochia you probaby haven't ovulated and most likely aren't pregnant. It isn't impossible though so take preventative measures if you don't want back to back babies.

I have a friend who had two babies almost exactly 9 months apart. I couldn't believe that she had sex that soon after having a baby...it had to have hurt her...but yes, you can definitely get pregnant right away.

It is very possible that you could get pregnant. You need to go and make sure that it is okay to be having sex after you gave birth 3.5 weeks ago. Also to be sure that you could not get hurt by having sex just after 3.5 weeks and also.

you are very fertile the first few months after having a baby, and since your bleeding still it's hard to tell when you ovulate, good luck
