In terms of sexual sensation, then the answer is yes. Regardless of whether the person doesn't get bottom surgery (just has clitoral enlargement due to testosterone), has a metoidioplasty/cliordectomy, or gets a phalloplasty, if they have a good surgeon, they will have complete sexual sensation and be able to respond to touch and feel arousal.

As to erections, it's going to depend on the surgery. If no surgery is done, then yes, the 'penis' is basically the enlargened clitoris, which has the ability to get erect on biological women, too. If it's a metoidioplasty, wherein a tendon is cut to release the clitoris, allowing it to hang lower and have a larger appearance, as well as being moved forward, then it still is made of clitoral tissue, and can still become erect. Transmen with metoidioplasties can often achieve shallow penetration with their erect penises. As for phalloplasties, which give a biological-sized penis through a complex process of attaching donated skin, tissue, and nerves (usually from the arm) to the genitals. Since the sexual nerves that come from the clitoris are 'hooked up' to the new penis, so to speak, it definitely has sensation. However, a phalloplasty cannot create a penis like biological men have- it isn't made of the same spongy tissue that, when receiving bloodflow, becomes erect. When stimulated, blood will flow there, it will feel fantastic, but it won't become erect. Fortunately, though, transmen circumvent this problem the same way impotent biological men or those with erectile dysfunction do: they have a small device implanted which allows them to press a 'button' and have an erection, allowing deep, penetrative sex.

As to ejaculation, well, there is no surgery capable of installing vas deferens, functioning testicles (the kind that produce sperm) and all that other piping, so an FtM obviously cannot ejaculate sperm, nor impregnate a woman. However, many biological women are able to female ejaculate, and it's understood that if a woman could do so before transitioning, the same ability would be possible post-transition. In order to do so, though, the vagina and uterus must still be intact (if he's had a hysterectomy or had the vagina sewn up, ejaculation will be impossible). Even if the vagina and uterus is there, the ejaculation won't come from the penis itself (there is no way, or it would be immensely difficult) to route a line through the actual organ), but, again, from the vagina. Additionally, since most women ejaculate from internal (G-spot) stimulation, and a good deal (but not all) FtM's prefer not to be penetrated, as it reminds them of their female bodies, or emasculates them, it might be difficult to elicit ejaculation.

Hope that helps!

It depends what kind of "sex change" they have....

Most Trans men (FTMs) start with taking hormones/testosterone. Among several other changes, this hormone will make their privates want to change from female to male. Anatomically, we're more similar than most people realize. (I'm trying to write this without getting words *** out because then it won't make sense....). When a trans guy starts taking T (short for testosterone), his clitoris will start to grow, as his body is trying to grow a penis. Obviously you can't just grow a penis though. However, a clitoris can grow to a size that it doesn't seem quite right to call it a clitoris anymore.

There are two types of surgery, metiodioplasty and phalloplasty.

In metiodioplasty, the ligament that holds the clitoris back is cut, basically allowing it to continue to grow and form a penis. In this procedure, the man will have a fully functional penis, but it will only be a couple inches long (2-3).

In Phalloplasty, they create a more average size penis, but in doing so have to graft skin and tissue from other areas of the body, and have yet to find a way to do that so that the penis can become erect without a pump.

So really, it depends on the operation... with a metiodioplasty, the guy will have a 2-3 inch penis that is completely functional- he can pee standing up, get hard, orgasm, etc. With phalloplasty, he can pee standing up, needs a pump to get hard, and actually I'm not sure about orgasm... I'll have to check into that.

Hope that helps!

Most penile prostheses are either the pump bulb or semirigid implant types. The pump bulb technology works good, it is even used in a stomach tightening procedure that often takes the place of the old stomach stapling. You will have a pump bulb planted under your skin and press there several times to inflate erection chambers pretty much as blood does in male spongiform tissue. Older men or those with E.D. that got it surgically fixed have used this method for years. The semirigid implant, also used by men for a long time gives you a half-erection, but with linear stability so that it doesn't compress as much during the thrusting motions. FTM can get emotionally aroused, but they lack the internal equipment to let the hormone surge put things automatically in motion. There won't be any ejaculation because the FTM doesn't have a prostate to emit the carrier fluid nor the sperm producing testicles to produce the inseminating cells in the semen. The FTM would be in the exact same position, however, as a man in upper years who has had organs removed for testicular or prostate cancer. While handicapped in that capacity, life goes on--ask Lance Armstrong.

It depends on what you mean by aroused.

If you mean can they feels sexual pleasure then yes. They take the female sexual organs and can construct a male sexual organ with the tissue. The new organ can feel and react to stimulus.

However, the organ does not naturally get large and hard like a normal male organ. During the constuction process an imlant can be done to increase the ridgitity of the member and have it get hard.

thats a tough one the nerve ending would still be in placeso you could recive the same sort of sitmuli but i doubt that you'd process the pleasure the same way a man would being that the brain reacts differantly in male and female for sexual activitty (differant areas of the brain react) so i dont think having your ladies bits turned inside out into a penis would help you much but then again on the other hand you can pee satnding up

Good question. I have watched various shows on the discovery health channel about Women to Men and Men to Women transitiions, and from what i have gathered, if the procedure ws done properly, they should have fully functional sexual organs. Of course women wont produce sperm nor will they ejaculate out of the penis, BUT it can harden and the urethra is re-wired so she will be able to pee out of it. It kinda trips me out to think about it, but hey, it happens! To each his or her own. As long as she's happy, it's all good :-) Hope this helped!

In a hormonal and emotional way maybe. Surgery has not advanced as far in the male enhancement field. Yet, I have friends who have transitioned that way and they live very satisfying lives.
