Discovered is a dicey way of putting it, but the first formal ***** League was the "National Colored Base Ball League," which existed for two weeks in the summer of 1887.

The first professional team comprised entirely of blacks was the Cuban Giants (referring to themselves as Cuban instead of black or ***** as being a dark-skinned Cuban carried less of a stigma at the time then being an African American) of New York City (created by workers at New York's Argyle Hotel). The Cuban Giants were founded in 1885 and existed in some form or another until the eventual disbanding of the ***** Leagues in the 1960s.

In the spirit of the word "discovered," the first ***** League to be discovered by substantial audiences and to discover any real financial success was the ***** National League, a league which initially was formed by Rube Foster in 1920 but didn't really hit its stride until its second founding alongside the ***** American League in 1933.

Ignoring the poor phrasing of your question - the first ***** league was Southern League of Base Ballists, founded in the 1880s. It, and most of the leagues that followed, didn't last ong. The first one of significance was the ***** National League, which started operations in 1920. However, as much of ***** baseball history is with barnstorming teams as it was with the leagues.
