It takes your focus out of your work & if the relationship fails, the emotional it can make the workplace a living hell for you. If anyone is found having a 'fling' or a 'relationship' with another person atleast in the same department, that person should be fired immediately.

YES or NO?

I do think that work relationships are a huge distraction for everyone, especially if they end badly, they just fuel gossip and make both parties appear unprofessional. I think, if two employees want to date, one should leave and go to another company.

It depends on how the 2 people are treating the setuation. Like if there constantly chatting and not focusing on work then yes they should be fired. But if they are being mature about the setuation and know the difference between work time and break time then I see no problem. You are correct though it can be a distraction whether are not the 2 people are deeply involved with 1 another or just strated off being couple. Me personelly if the man who I wished was my boyfreind was at the same school as me I have to admit I would be totally distracted. For two people that are going out working in the same work place together I don't think it's the best of ideas unless like I said before if both individuals are mature about it if not well they get fired. Which would be intirely there fault and if was to happen i hoped they learned there lesson.

I'm definitely against workplace romances because no one does their best work in that situation. I think it should be strongly discouraged but I doubt if completely banning it would work. If the two are in the same department, I would recommend one be transferred. I would only terminate a worker if other options failed.

No, yet courting a co-worker is definitely not a stunning good flow. i do not imagine it distracts your concentration at artwork, because any relationship can be a distraction reckoning on the guy courting a co-worker could have some un-meant consequences. case in element, if a "artwork couple" has a strive against one member can flow to human aspects and declare sexual harassment and finally end up getting one or both one among them fired. it really is the reason maximum organizations have a coverage compared. I dated a co-worker, and it grew to grow to be out to a huge mistake. i finished up dropping my interest in part because of the relationship besides as different subject matters i grow to be dealing with on the time. regrettably, some polices can not supply up human nature.

i do not believe employers should be so powerful in your personal life. it is your choice to face those consequences of workplace relationships, not your employers job to protect you from it. most people meet their spouses through work. it's unreasonable not to allow people to date. leads to hiding and closet behavior anyway because people will still do it even ifyou have a policy against it.

What's with you people and your utter disavowment of personal responsibility and your wanting the government or other authority to "ban" things?

Sheesh...where does it end?
