it wouldn't be deeper at all it would be shallower, the mass of the sponges takes up space so it displaces the same amount of water, all the sponges in the ocean would probably weigh a few hundred thousand to a few million tons and that would take that amount of water out. its like when your in the tub and you fill it up to the top, but when you get out its slightly below that mark because your body wasn't occupying that space anymore.
