Please understand that when the orgainzation was founded, the term "colored" was common and accepted. (At that point, it sure beat the n-word). It wasn't until later that the term was considered unacceptable to describe black Americans. There is no reason the change the name of such an old organization just to accomodate society's changes.
For example, some people might not like the term "girl" is no longer accurate. Does that mean we should change the group to the "Young Lady Scouts"? Not really......

technically, the NAACP is supposed to help all the non-whities. They have made some advancements with hispanics too because black and hispanic culture is very similar, which is why those two groups get along so well. I dont think the NAACP does enough for asians, but they are working more with arabs now

We don't care if some old organization uses the word coloured just like some homes still are PLANTATIONS.

You can't use it because we SAY SO!!!! Now go find something more worthwhile to gripe about.
