Do you read the question and then answer or do you read the responses and then answer?

Usually I just read the question & answer it, if it is clearly a for-fun question like this one.

I read the other answers first if it appears that a serious question was asked. If there is already a very good answer, often I'll just move on without adding my 2 cents worth.

Both, sometimes read the ques. and answer, other times check the response to make sure I am not going to say the same thing or if someone else's answer is better.

Um how could I answer if I didn't read the question? I always read the question first then answer and occasionally go and look at the others say.

I read the question, then i read the answers, then i answer the question that i had previously read hoping others will read my answers and answer the questions that they have just read.

I decide to make my own answer and when it is posted i sometimes meet the same answer:well so what?
No,I answer and because you end at the bottom you get to see the others if you don't scroll up fast enough.
