Does anyone know any legitimate way I can come up with $1500 in a month? Please don't refer me to prepaid legal.....I need serious answers. My husband's ex is about to move out of state with his son and we need an attorney to fight this so that he can see him on a regular basis......and yes, he pays child support which I know someone will say but that is not the issue....thanks!

Yes, but he only has visitation every other weekend, NOTHING else....she has sole parental responsibility, her attorney won the case by bringing up something he did when he was 13 and our attorney NEVER defended him on it.....they were never married, the ex knows she has the upper hand and she denied him all rights from the time she found out she was pregnant....she wants my husband to give up his parental rights and tell her son that her boyfriend/fiance is his dad.....

I know you want serious answers, and the only thing I can think off right off the bat is becoming a stripper. Sorry, I know its a degrading job, but my best friend makes at least 400 a night easy.

Another way would be to do a garage sale. You could also do a car wash or something like that to raise money.

Maybe you have a few things you could sell on ebay. People make lots of money there.

I do have to ask though, does your husband have any custody or visitation rights to the child? If so, then she can get into huge trouble for moving out of state. Go after her butt if that's true.

You need to do something quick, even if you have to go through legal aid.. Your husband is paying child support, I dont think his ex is allowed to leave the state with the kids without his permission. is there any way you can ask family and friends for a loan/ If your credit is good you may be able to get a small loan from the bank. Best of luck.

Pawn any jewelry or electronics that you own
If you have a job, get a cash advance, yes, is high interest but you need the money now.
Borrow money from your 401k or life insurance policy
Have a garage sale
Do you belong to a chuch? They can loan you money

Good luck

How about a small loan from a bank or family member or try to earn and save it then once you get it then obtain a lawyer. How about when you get your taxes back?

No he can not - that is seen a conflict of interest which might ethically avert yet another lawyer (in the organization the place you employed an lawyer) from representing him. the belief is that once you have employed an lawyer, yet another lawyer in that organization ought to acquire suggestion which you and your lawyer deem privileged and use it it against you in the divorce complaints. besides the reality that that "shouldn't" ensue, that's what the moral rule of conflict of interest is designed to circumvent.

does your husband have any kind of custody?? then she can't take his son- tell her that if she takes him without your husbands consent you will call the police and have them send an amber alert to the whole country - and when she gets caught she will go to jail for kidnapping--or pray to God -and don't loose faith
