Are you of the opinion that basically if you can rap, irrespective of colour, you deserve to be successful and will be popular with rap/hiphop fans or do you think that caucasian rappers are cashing in on an industry that initially was associated with black people?

Having said that, what do you think of the following rappers, as rap artists (skills etc), paul wall, eminem , l;ady sovereign?

personally i believe a true artist will accept all types of music regardless of the background of the person. At the end of the day its all about achieving the style of the music, it just happens to be that rap/hiphop orginates from urban areas which were predominantly full of coloured people. Its the same as rock music, would it be accepted by coloured artists. Rappers like eminem are great therefore we should be accepting it all.

It's ridiculous to consider a type of music to be "reserved" for a particular race because it was originally popularized by somebody of that race. It should be for anyone who is good at it. That'll be for the market to decide. White rappers don't have any less right to capitalize on that segment of the music industry than I do. In fact, they have more of a right, if they're better rappers than I am. Nobody should have more claim on anything because of their race. It should be about the merit of the individual, irrespective of race.

As for the rappers you mentioned, I don't know who they are except for eminem. And, I haven't listened to any of his music. (I don't listen to music in general.) However, I have heard clips of him, and they were vulgar. And, when I met him, he seemed to be dumb as a brick.

I think that whatever colour you are, you should always be free to express yourself.

As for the artists you named, I've only ever heard Eminem and my opinion of him is favorable. However, The Beastie Boys are my favorite.

Don't like Rap to be honest...Most of all i don't like white Rap. Why do they even sound (Try) black?? Sounds fony and awfull. Best left to the true origins. Blacks even dance better than whites do! It's, well, pardon the expression...Black and White!

Good question by the way. (caucasian)

Shes in basic terms a factor of it, its not all her fault. i don't think of she merits to be put in the rap classification, she is a pop artist not a rapper. i be conscious of a minimum of one hundred rappers that are better then her. back its not in basic terms her, Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy and different so observed as " rappers" are giving young babies the phantasm that rap is meant to be approximately intercourse, money and autos while they could use their popularity to unfold the understanding approximately poverty, international starvation and different issues in our be conscious yet instead ALL their songs are approximately what I suggested. they are not merely ruining music yet assisting wreck society in prevalent.

unfortunately, most of the rap audience is non-caucasian race and so caucasian rappers are usually ignored.
