I am 19 years old and work as a Sales Administrative Assistant at a large yet privately owned company. While working full-time I am still finishing school. When I got the job, they said they were starting me off at a salary lower than average to make sure I could do the job. Well, I've been here for almost a year now, and excel at everything I do. With all the tasks I do for the other employees at the company, I know that I would be hard to replace. (I'm not trying to sound cocky, I just know that I work hard and have put a lot of effort into exceeding what they thought I could do.) Anyways, I was just wondering what the average pay for this position is, seeing as I will be going in for my monthly review. For the amount of time and effort I put in here, I would like to know I am being paid fairly. Thanks!

you left out one of the biggest factors for you salary. Where do you live what state and what part of the state you live in make a big difference. Like if you live in LA or New York you will make a lot more for the same job then some little town or city in the mid west.

You seem pretty smart, so I'm sure you will do well eventually, even if you're underpaid now. In any case, it's hard to determine without knowing what you are selling and if there's normally a commission structure with your product. So, I'd recommend searching the online job sites like monster.com and find comparable jobs and see how your salary compares.
