As a rule small children should wear chains that fall just to their collar that way it is not too tight or too loose about 14-16 inches is the correct length.

I went to "my" jeweler and asked him - told him the size and weight of my kid and he also asked about interests.
I think it depends on the kid - heavy, skinny, active, not, responsible????? Etc. - - Good luck!
Also remember - if the chain stands out too much - other kids get jealous, make fun, try to "steal" (break) it. It's a tough age.
Make sure you and your kid know when it's appropriate to wear.

She's 11 years old. She can make a choice on the jewelry she wears as long as it wouldn't be dangerous.

Length is not an issue, prefer to have a not too expansive one cuz for only 11years old, he/she might lost it!

Breaking dawn sucks, it ruins the whole series completely. There's pedophiles in it. But, read it, with your parent's permission of course.
