Don't let them give you their crap! The cannot rufuse a payment that you can afford! The next time they say they can't take that, ask them if "They are rufusing your offer?".....They won't answer because they know they can't legally. They will go all around the question with out answering. Like saying "Do you really think that 10.00 is gonna pay this off soon?" . Whatever they can come up with. Keep repeating the question to them! Then tell them that you will get ahold of the original creditor and tell them that they have refused your offer. So consider it paid in full! Man, I can't stand collection agencies! They act like they are so holier than thou! People just don't have money these days. They don't get it. Or don't care. I honestly could not live with myself if I had to be a collection agency phone call person! Don't let them scare you though. The ONLY ones you have to worry about are the ones that will take you to court. And that is usually only ones that come directly from a lawyer. But that would still be a long way off from where you are now. Contact me if you need to know more. Been there, done that with all of them! Sad to say, but I'm poor. So.......that's how I know.

I don't have an answer to your question. I would suggest calling the Attorney General in your state and ask them that question. They can tell you what your options are..

Its not up to them, they have to accept whatever you give them. As long as your paying something, they can't take things further.
