How much does a decent/good all/completely wooden snowboard usually cost?

What kind of wood is are they usually made from?

Could you provide a list with the order of what the best wood for snowboards would be?

Are they better than snowboards that are made of fiberglass and other materials?

SOMETHING YOU SHOULD KNOW IS THAT THERE ARE NO SNOWBOARDS MADE OF WOOD ONLY. THEY ALL HAVE PLEXIGLASS, FIBERGLASS, CARBON FIBER, KEVLAR, STEEL, ETC AS COMPONENTS OF THEIR CONSTRUCTION.

IN LOOKING FOR A WOOD BOARD, KNOW THIS, A MAJORITY OF BOARDS ON THE MARKET TODAY HAVE SOLID WOOD CORES. MOST OF THE TIME THESE WOOD CORES ARE A COMBINATION OF SEVERAL DIFFERENT SPECIES LIKE BALSA, POPLAR, SOMETIMES MAPLE AND OTHERS LIKE BIRCH.

ARBOR HAS TOPSHEETS THAT ARE WOOD VENEERS. THAT MEANS THE TOP OF THE BOARD LOOKS LIKE A PLANK OF WOOD BUT IN REALITY IS ONLY 1/32" THICK OR SO. BURTON MAKES ALMOST EVERY BOARD WITH A WOOD CORE THOUGH SEVERAL OF THEIR HIGHER END BOARDS HAVE ALUMINUM HONEYCOMB CORES.

JUST ABOUT EVERY BOARD YOU LOOK AT IN THE MID-RANGE PRICE POINT ($350-$500) WILL BE A WOOD CORE BOARD. THESE ARE WHAT I'VE RIDDEN FOR 16 YEARS IN COLORADO AND MONTANA WITH NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL. WOOD CORES TENDED TO LAST LONGER WHEN FOAM OR FIBERGLASS CORE BOARDS WERE FIRST INTRODUCED TO THE MARKET (MORROW WAS ONE OF THE FIRST). BUT TODAY THE TECHNOLOGY HAS DEVELOPED TO THE POINT WHERE THE QUALITY AND DURABILITY IS CLOSE TO THE SAME.

GO TO A WEBSITE CALLED GEARDIRECT.COM TO FIND A BOARD YOU LIKE AND CHECK IT OUT ON THE MANUFACTURERS WEBSITE TO LEARN MORE. THIS WEBSITE HAS HUNDREDS OF BOARDS AVAILABLE AND SOME OF THE BEST PRICING YOU'LL FIND.

HOPE THIS HELPS AND HAVE FUN RIDING!

there are no all wooden snowboards. most are made with wood and polyurethane. although they do have a few all polyurethane decks. $500 for a decent complete snowboard.
