I heard that most women get ultrasounds around the 30th week to see how much the baby has grown or weighs and to see his position. Is that right?

Most doctors will not do another Ultrasound after around 20 weeks unless there is a reason too (e.g. measuring big, contractions, protein in urine.) They can usually tell position and size from their measurements and feel.

Good luck with the baby!

I'm 37 weeks along with #5 and my doctor only did a second ultrasound to determine size with one of my babies that he felt might be large. If there is no reason to suspect a large baby then there really isn't a reason to do a 2nd ultrasound.

You should've had one already. I had my first ultrasound when I was 4 months pregnant. They couldn't predict the sex because she was in a weird position but I had my next ultrasound at 7 months and then found out the sex. You should ask your OB when you will have one.

they'll frequently do an ultrasound between 18-22 weeks! :o) So, you may get one at your next appointment. i don't be attentive to how your DRs workplace does it, yet mine schedules the ultrasounds seperately from the frequently happening appointment! the next day, they'll maximum possibly weigh you.. do blood stress, circulate over any indications you're having, any questions you're having .. and pay attention on your babies heartbeat! sturdy success!
