With my fourth pregnancy i was 12 weeks pregnant by my dates but when i went for a scan they told me they couldn't find a baby only a sac so i had blood tests done which showed i was in the early stages of pregnancy so i was called in for an internal scan. It showed i was 3 weeks pregnant they said i could have miscarried but fallen pregnant straight away. I went back for a scan 1 week later and they told me i was 6 weeks pregnant. Internal scans are better for the first trimester as they can pick up the baby better then the external scans.

I was 9 weeks and went for a scan. Tehy only saw the sac and nothingin it...its called a blighted ovum. I was given two chances either wait for it to miscarry naturally or hace a d&c to clear it out. Its when the sperm and egg meet and you are pregnant, but it does not progress from there. I opted for the d&c. My second pregnancy I went for a scan at 5-1/2 weeks, and I could see the sac and a little heartbeat. Good luck to you.

This is where faith in a God comes in and trusting the doctors. In the end the baby decides when it will be born. I pray that all turns out for you.
I knew I was pregnant within two weeks of being pregnant due to nausea. Back when I was having babies, the only test that showed pregnancy early was blood test.
Remember each woman and each situation is different, so don't compare yourself to your friend. I'll say a prayer for you.

It is possible to have your dates wrong. Its been known to happen. At six weeks, and internal scan MAY be able to detect the fetus. Don't freak out yet. I had an internal scan at 7 weeks and it took a while for them to find it. Just remember, each person is different just like each pregnancy is different. Don't worry yourself too much, it isn't good for you or the baby. I hope everything works out for you. Best of luck!

Sounds like you may have ovulated later than usual. I always kept very good records of my periods. And my LMP was on 07.09.06. So when I found out that I was pg, I went in to what I thought would have been my 10 week checkup. My Dr. did a vaginal ultrasound and found that I was only 7 weeks along. She said this was due to me ovulating later than usual. Congrats and Good Luck.
