can i create a game using macromedia flash player??? if yes how can i create a game?. if not what other free software is there for making a game?

Yes you can create a game using Flash, not Flash Player.
You also need to know a bit of coding as to what you wish to do - how the game is played. You start with your main window and have to create your animation for whatever you wish to do. You will need the graphics for each frame and the result of whatever action is done.
So first thing is to storyboard your idea - so you know what action will do what, then build your graphics and then build the code for the action.

ya sure,u can create flash games using latest macromedia flash.its a software,not just a player enough..but it require knowledge of action script.there r other softwares for creating games but a lot knowledge is required.

You can`t.To create games you need macromedia flash 8 (not player, not free).I just bought it today myself actually, Im going to start working on it tomorrow.I have seen some great animations come out of that program...

Look on www.deviantart.com and look for the flash games section/pages,.. you should be able to contact creators there easily enough. Hope this helps.

PopCap games makes casual games. See their website for many free online and downloadable games. They offer their game-making development framework downloadables, so others can build games with it.
