give general answer without asking for the circumstance

it doesn't matter what are the circumstances, betraying is betraying. I would suggest before taking any position or bad reaction to face them. Try to see what were the motives behind this betrayel.Sometimes people do things without realizing and it might be a mistake or a sickness in their personality. No one is perfect. And I would add that " every person is responsable for his acts" which means they need to apologize, fix the problem (if they created one) or anything else. But I would emphasize on facing them and talking to them.

There is an excellent book out called:

"Working With Anger" by Thubten Chodron

that teaches how to replace anger, hatred,

unforgiveness, impatience, envy, jealousy,

and such emotions with wholesome ones.

She, the author is a Master's Degree in

and quite helpful for anyone needing help,

or wanting to help a person they care about.

Who betrayed them? In what arena?

If you did the betraying, I suggest you start sincerly apoligizing. That means no 'buts' after, "I'm sorry." Better to say, "Ive made some foolish choices," and hope they forgive you. I guess it depends on the betrayal.

Otherwise, you did not give enough information to have a clue.

People who betray you are not your friends. Eliminate them from your life and move on.

Betrayal is broken trust. Depending on the situation trust can be earned back. I know you are mad but think it through, dont do anything in haste if these people meant alot to you.

Move past the betrayal and don't have anything more to do with them unless absolutely necessary, and even then say hello and move on.

Ok, if you can't trust them now because of betrayal, then you'll never be able to trust them. Move on and find friends that you can trust.

Sometimes you have to bite the pipe and remove yourself from the situation. Cut all ties, if possible.
