That sounds like some Finnfeelings earrings; they might still be in production, though Karl Laine hasn't really designed anything new for them in decades. You should browse their catalog, I guess you'll recognize your earrings there (and when you know the exact model, you can check from their retailers what price they are sold nowadays). They seem to make earrings both with spectrolite and real diamonds, you'll find out what you have when you find the model.

Manufacturers webpage: http://www.finnfeelings.fi . Straight on the right hand side you have "where to buy" links to the retailers in different countries, you can check the nearest (or any that sells your model and has price on their webpage).
Straight link to the catalog with some teardrop-shaped earrings: http://www.finnfeelings.fi/catalog.asp?col=1&series=2 (there are plenty of earring models shaped like that, you'll probably have to browse a bit around the catalog... Also check different sections, like spectrolite jewelry has it's different catalog etc.)

I hope you find your set!

difficult to say. You should go have it appraised by someone who specializes in jewelry appraisals. then they can tell you if it is real diamond, how many carats, the quality and color rating. You could get a diamond tester, or go to a jewelry store at a mall and have them test it, but it may test as real, when it could be moissanite which is lab created diamond.

You would have to take them to a jeweler who specializes in appraising antique jewelry. Ask your Home Owners Insurance agent for a recommendation. The appraisal should run roughly $75-100 and if you are interested in selling do not tell the appraiser until after you have a signed appraisal then ask if he can recommend a buyer.
