Im 25 this year, but this still intriguges me. Basically q is, "What have you said back to the person that asked (be it bouncer/checkout person), did you get irate like i used to????"
I remember one checkout older woman (when i was about 21) asked me how old i was when i was buying alcohol, i turned a round and asked "Isn't it rude to ask an adult her age????"Then she shut up and carried on serving!! hehe.
Im soooo not like that now, but what is the worst thing u said when approached or stopped?????

I never went to bars when I was under 18, so I can't help you there. As for being asked for ID, I'm 25 as well, and am ALWAYS asked for ID. There hasn't been I time that I wasn't.
I do think that it's kind of embarassing in a line up, but you gotta admit, it's nice! It's when they stop asking that you know you may look your age.
Enjoy it - you'll be bragging about it when you are old and saggy!

When i went in my local supermarket the other day there was a sign on the till saying that it was the companies policy not to serve anyone that looked under 21 without id. I questioned the woman about it and she said so many stores were being prosequted for serving people that were under age because children these days look so much older than they are. It's easy to argue that a 14 year old could pass for 18 but whether they would pass for 21 is another thing. I know its annoying for you now but you'll be grateful that you look younger than you are when you get older.

I have had the same problem, but i used to work in a supermarket, and we had to ID anyone who we thought to be under the age of 21. We had spot checks on this and if we failed to do this, we received a fine of £80. So when people were rude to me, it didnt bother me, i could rest knowing that £80 wasnt coming out of my pay packet!

However since moving to the USA, they actully have a policy to ID anyone under the age of 45, so i can imagine a lot of people becoming irate over here, i do think thats too extreme, after all when my parents came to visit, they got refused alcohol because they werent going to carry their passport around on them. I find this rather hilarious lol!

My wife was refused to be sold cigarettes when she was 28! The law here says you have to be 16 or over!

Hey girl, don't rush to get old too quick! In the blink of an eye you could lose 20 years! Just wait a while, you'll see what I mean!!

Besides, you should take it as a compliment.

Nothing! I'm 26 and I LOVE to be id'd....most people say I look 18 or younger which to me is great. So many girls want to look older but as I DO get older I'm glad I've always maintained a young face.

I got really pissed on my 21st birthday.. I was able to buy alcohol w/ no problems up until I turned 21 (they would never card me)..

Then on my 21st birthday, I go into the liquor store and the guy cards me. I show him my id, and he says sorry you're not old enough.. Then he points to the sign that says if you were not born BEFORE todays date in 19xx then you cannot buy alcohol..

So he says you have to be 21 AND a day.. Isn't that Bullxxxx?

On a night out there was 4 of us ,myself and another two were over 18 the other girl was under 18 ,The bouncer kicked the 3 of us over 18 out and let the one under stay ,we just told on her and he kicked her out although she wasn't going to stay if we had gone ,but it was frustrating I just learnt to always have id .
But its nice if they think you are younger than you are, but not nice if no id to prove it to get in or served

Suppose if they asked the underagers for ID they wouldnt get it, therefore couldnt serve them and would miss out on money. Whereas if they ask over agers, they're certain of getting ID and money plus they're also seen by the police to be checking ID's even though they're pulling a fast one really.
