Casino Royale without a doubt.

Although the other Bond films where good viewing, they always involved a sophisticated James Bond defeating the bad guy, winning the Lady, and saving the world from a Master Criminal.
Casino Royale has more of a true life story line to it, and Daniel Craig portrays the role with a refreshing disregard to what we have come to expect.

I'm a fan of "A View to a Kill" - I love Christopher Walken's evil genius in Max Zorin and Patrick Macnee as Tibbett. While Tonya Roberts did nothing for me as a Bond Girl, Grace Jones was the Anti-Bond girl (May Day).

Maybe not a mass appeal favorite, but I liked it.

My personal favorite is "Living Daylights".

Timothy Dalton was the IDEAL Bond! He brought a danger to the role that had not been there before. You truly were not sure if he was going to kiss the woman or shoot her between the eyes half the time.

Any of the Sean Connery ones. I don't care for the others. Sean Connery defined the role of James Bond.

"GoldenEye" starring Pierce Brosnan. This was the first-time that 007 had to match wits with someone who was not only a former agent of MI-6,but who also knew him as a friend. It made for one of the greatest final fight scenes ever seen in a Bond film.
