My life turned around the moment I found out I was pregnant. I went from a care-free partying girl in my mid twenties, to all of a sudden being as healthy as I could be to take care of the baby inside me. (come to find out there were two babies, If I wasn't as healthy as I was, I would have lost one or both during their premature birth) Today I have 16 year old smart, well adjusted twins, both looking forward to college in the next few years. I thank myself for growing up when I found out I was pregnant, and devoting the last 16 years to being a Mom who is always there, always knows where her kids are, and knows all the friends that they hand out with.

My life turned around when mu father passed away when I was 13 years old. I know that its hard to say that my life turned around seeing that it only began, but it did. I was a daddys little girl, so after he passed my life seemed to go downhill. I was always depressed and school seemed to be the last thing on my mind. After a while (recently) I realized that he would have wanted me to do my best and not to be worried about him. I now have the courage to do and accomplish anything in life. I know that in mind and spirit he is with me and will help to do the right things in life.

I think im at the point of turning my life around coz im influenced by my surroundings and everything, but im definitely not the same person. As a person, I'm constantly changing in terms of my thoughts and feelings towards people and issues. What doesn't change is feelings towards the loved ones.

When was 24. I was raised with an abusive step father, so I became an alcoholic, drug abusing, promiscuous rebel. I was very much a "victim" until I decided I didn't have to be.

Now, I'm a strong confident woman who chooses not to be a victim. I am married to a wonderful guy who thinks he married a wonderful woman. I have 2 great kids (teenagers, even) and I really do live a charmed life now.

March 24 2001 when my father died. Yes I have changed. I am a totally different person now. I am not fun anymore. I don't laugh anymore. I have lost interest in just about everything I used to love like drawing and writing. Unfortunately I can not seem to get out of this cave I am trapped in.

I think I turned my life around when I got married to the love of my life. Everything changed in a good way. My life had more meaning, and I really looked forward to be a better person every day. And to improve, not only for him but for my future family. It worked! I have a beautiful family. And I can say we are happy and have a good relationship. My kids are respectfull and we go to Church and try to keep a good life for them. Life is good! for us!! I can't ask for anything else in life! I am very gratefull!

I've had several turning points
1) When I joined the Army. I grew up real fast.
2) When I graduated College and got a real job.
3) When I finally called Consumer Credit Counselling so I could stop robbing Peter to pay Paul and get out of debt
4) When I met my wife.

when I moved out of my parents house I really grew up. all the games were over and since I moved to the west coast of canada there was NO help from my parents back in Ontario. It was a real reality check but now I'm doing so great for myself, I'm really happy and I guess in the end I just needed to cut the strings from my parents and really start to mature :)
ps I'm almost 20 and moved out a month before my 19th birthday
