How do I turn on my virus protection in Windows Security Center?

I get to the page where it says to turn on virus protection. It just reads Off. I click on it, nothing. I click on Recommondation, I get Turn on your installed antivirus program. And that is where? Or get another antivirus program. I clicked on How? It opens to a website for purchasing one.

I clicked on the icon and it's the same problem. There is no Turn On. I am too stubborn to quit, which leads to frustration.

Windows Security Center checks your computer for anti-virus software. If you do not have any, it directs you to where you can buy some.

To install or update your anti-malware software 1.Open Security Center by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Security, and then clicking Security Center. 2.Click Malware protection, click the button under Virus protection or Spyware and other malware protection, and then choose the option that you want. NoteWindows does not detect all antivirus and antispyware software. If you are sure that you have anti-malware software installed, it is turned on, and it is up to date, you can click I have an antivirus program that I'll monitor myself or I have an antisypware program that I'll monitor myself to stop receiving notifications from Security Center about your anti-malware software. If you do this, Windows will not monitor your anti-malware software status or alert you if it is off.

click on the Security Center icon then click on turn on antivirus
if you have antivirus software installed it should already be running from start up

start--> settings-->control panel--> then click on the icon of windows security center--> then press the second 'recommendation' button-->u'll get the optionn to active it.
