I have a Toshiba Satellite A105-S4084. I bought 100pk spindle of DVD+R from CompUSA. I used Nero Burning Rom 7 to burn movies. But all 5 DVDs I used stopped at 15% and there was an error.

There are 2 types of DVD recordable drives available.

DVD-R
&
DVD+R

The discs from one will not work on the other.

If your drive is one you cannot use the other type of disc.

Note there are some drives that can do both. Check your information on your system to find out what kind of drive you have.

Your drive should be able to write those disks (also DVD-R, DVD+RW, and DVD-RW).

Things to check:

Anything else running? Shut down all your other programs and disconnect from the internet and from any local network.

Computer powering down? Make sure the disks are not going into standby mode or the whole computer is trying to hibernate.

Power? Make sure the computer is plugged in. DVD burning is not a job for the batteries.

Overheating? Make sure the computer is on a solid surface and its vents are not blocked.

Media? If you still haven't found the problem, try buying one expensive brand name DVD+R and see if it works.

Maybe the problem is with the DVD's you bought.
Its speed might be too fast for you cd/dvd writer.

Your DVD+R is 16x, when your writer's speed for that kind is only 8x (check the specs in both sites).

Use the nero window that says control drive speed. Slow it down real slow at first then gradually speed it up to where you can still write.
