They can have nightmares. Waking up in the night and then waking you up in the night. Not really a good idea exposing a toddler to those types of images.

Good luck!!!

I think each kid is different and as a mother you should recognize what your children can handle and what they cannot. Learning with them and teaching them everything beginning at an early age will help them later in life. Remember just because we know it, doesn't mean they do, so the simplest things need to be taught or relearned by us parents.

My daughter loves scary movies, books etc and she doesn't get scared by them, is not afraid of the dark, but show her a bug movie and watch out she will have nightmares for a week. My son, on the other hand, is scared of the dark and the boogie man and wont watch anything scary. But loves the bug movies on discovery.

I was allowed by a babysitter to watch a Freddy Krueger movie when I was 3. I only saw about 15 minutes of it, but I had nightmares every night for a month solid and 2-3 times a week for the next 10 years.

My son is 5 now and he caught glimpse of a scary picture at 3 1/2 and still is afraid to go the bathroom by himself. This is very troublesome to me and I would suggest not letting them see anything scary at a young age. Good luck.

Is it a risk to place the two 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous mild sleeper in a room on my own? i'm no longer generally partial to giving in to the youngster even though plainly like he's legitimately scared and could desire time to artwork contained in direction of the project. As you help him strengthen with the aid of it, that is nice which you're keeping verbal substitute open and that's an excellent theory to work out a counselor (verify with the college or your coverage business enterprise for concepts). have you ever tried a filled animal? Knew somebody who confident her toddler that filled tiger grew to become into ferocious beast who ought to attack undesirable objectives and shred with claws so in basic terms happy objectives got here into room.

NIGHTMARES!! I don't like horror movies, but when my daughter was around 12-18 months (she's 2 1/2 now), I played Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas around her, thinking "what would she know; she don't know what's going on!!" And I SO regret that, because every time she saw me play, she'd wake up screaming and crying in the middle of the night! I stopped playing it around her since!!:)

well, if you havent noticed my now, babys and toddlers imatate EVERYTHING they see someone do. if you would let them watch it and there blood and guts in it, theres a possibilty that they could go "play" with a knife and get hurt. so hold off on the scary movies for a few more years =] good luck !!
