Oooh, yes. I lost my father-in-law 6 months ago. He was the second great love of my life. He was the most honest, kind, giving, dependable, loving person I've ever met. He loved me like his own daughter and I LOVED spending time with him. I got to care for him in the last 6 weeks of his life and we had some amazing converstions. I was there with him when he passed away. His death is the most painful thing I've ever experienced. But I will always remember that he was always there whenever I needed advice from my "dad".

Mother's Love

There are times when only a Mother's love
Can understand our tears,
Can soothe our disappointments
And calm all of our fears.

There are times when only a Mother's love
Can share the joy we feel
When something we have dreamed about
Quite suddenly is real.

There are times when only a Mother's faith
Can help us on life's way
And inspire in us the confidence
We need from day to day.

For a Mother's heart and a Mother's faith
And a Mother's steadfast love
Were fashioned by the Angels
And sent from God above.

I have lost several loved ones and it is very hard to explain in detail to say what I will remember most about them. But I will have to say i will remember all of them smiling and being happy on a good day!

Yes, my husband died a little more than 3 years ago. We were married for 36 years so there`s a lot to remember. I`ll always remember what a great husband and father to our 5 children he was.

My brother died 6 years ago and I will always remember how great he was with my kids. He would hold my son (who was 5 months old at the time) and tell me he couldn't wait to be a Dad and have a chubby baby like his nephew. He was an awesome uncle.

Yes I have, and I remember everything about them both "good' and "bad'. All these things made them the person that they were and the person that I came to care for. They enriched my existence in ways that I would be a much poorer person without.

One of my best mates just committed suicide and the thing I will miss most about him is the strength he used to give me to carry on when things were really rough.

Life enjoys irony at times huh ?
