To me, the name Lucas sounds strong and very masculine. I don't know anyone named Lucas, and can't think of any celebrities of that name.

I like the name, but ever since I watched the TV show "Rock Star: SuperNova" where Tommy Lee was putting a band together with Jason Newstead and Gilby Clark...the guy named Lucas won. I couldn't stand him because I thought he looked like a wierd miniature Wolfman Jack, however Wolfman Jack was cool.
As long as you like it...that's all that matters. When he arrives, you'll know whether he is a Lucas or not and you can go from there.
I named both of my boys when they arrived. I didn't have anything picked out beforehand. You'll know their name when you see them.

I think of the movie from 1986 Lucas about the nerd-turned-football star. It's a classic. Aside from that I like the name.

It reminds me of Luca in ER and of course this little boy I know. He is a lovely as is Luca on ER.

i love the name Lucas and i think of all the things you think of when you hear it.
there are no celebrities that come to mind but on "one tree hill" there is a character named Lucas, played by chad michael murray.
