I know, this kind of stuff makes me so mad...I never can understand why they call the Republicans "fiscally responsible"... the Republican congress under Bush has outspent every Dem in history (even when taking account for inflation). Earmarks (pet projects) on bills have tripled....when will this insanity end!

I read a similar story in BBC. I also saw a report this morning that a construction company that was awarded a $62 billion dollar bid to build an Iraqi police and training center put together mortar walls that look as if monkeys put them together. The work was incredibly sub-standard and you know that the contractor was very happy with his fat-lined pockets. Very sad that there is no one within our administration overseeing the disbursment of our funds to the Iraqi citizens.

Freedom is not free! Sub-standard work is another thing, but you also have to consider the work environment! It's not like they are building a nice house surrounded by a white picket fence. Would you go?

Its ridiculous how irresponsible they are. And if you ask for oversight, they freak out and scream at you about less government <----Here is a novel idea - have a citizens oversight committee.
But alas, its all Clinton's fault....
